Sit-in-Protest held against the mysterious death of Chingkheinganbi
JAC against the suspicious death of Chingkheinganbi organized a sit-in protest at Arong Community Hall on Monday the 25th of April. The suspicious death of Samom Ningol Ningthoujam (O) Chingkheinganbi alias Chingkhei on the 21st of April which is under the jurisdiction of Nongmaikhong Police Station occurred at her in-laws residence. The sit-in-protest was participated by a local woman, Meira Paibis, Members of different clubs, Students, Youths, and JAC, the main participant of sit-in-protest were

A joint Rally was also organized, and many slogans of discontent were hailed such as Give us justice, We condemn the death of Chingkheinganbi. Also the two demands of JAC
1. Death body should not be taken until justice is brought.
2. Registering of FIR to investigate this suspicious death.
3. Handing of the Postmortem report within the given 7 days dateline i;e 27th of April, if not then severe protest and movement will be taken up.
