Suspicious death of Chingkheinganbi; Father condemns inaction of Mayang Imphal Police
Kumbi, May 01- It's been nine months since Chingkheinganbi was found dead in a suspicious manner at her in-law's house in Mayang Imphal. Still, no clue nor the report of postmortem has been processed by the Mayang Imphal Police said the Father of the deceased. Demanding justice for Samom Ningol Ningthoujam ongbi Chingkheinganbi suspicious death locals of Arong organized a protest rally. The rally was jointly organized on Sunday evening at around 3:00 pm by JAC, Clubs, and Meira Paibis of Arong. The rally was started from the maternal house of Chingkheinganbi at Arong and passed through several places of Arong, Nongmaikhong, and ended near the residence of Bijando spouse of Chingkheinganbi at Khordak Awang Leikai. There were arguments between the locals of Khordak Awang Leikai and the demonstrators due to misunderstanding but later it was continued. At the rally, demonstrators hailed the slogans 'Justice for Chingkheinganbi', 'Punish the Murderer', 'hand the postmortem report' etc. S. Sanjit father of Chingkheinganbi expressed that it has been almost 9 days since her daughter's death yet no evidence can't be produced of his daughter alleged killing is very unfortunate. He also condemned the attitude of Mayang Imphal Police for not handing the postmortem report and delayed probing. He said that the dead body of her daughter will not be taken until the justice of his daughter's death. He said that several protests will be launched along with the JAC, Clubs, and Meira Paibis. He also urges the people to take part and support the future movements to bring justice for his daughter's death.
