Assam's CM Himanta Bishwa Sharma assures implementation of the Manipuri Autonomous Council in Assam: AAMYA Chief
Silchar, April 29- A press meet was held on Thursday evening at AAMYA Head Office Silchar organized by All Assam Manipuri Youths Association, AAMYA.
At the press meet AAMYA's Chief Advisor Ksh. Kundal Singh expressed that Precious day of AAMYA is observed annually in September but last year due to Covid-19 Pandemic it wasn't solemnized. For this reason, it will be observed on May 21 of this year, and on 22 May a discussion will be held to discuss the Political Autonomy of the Manipuri people inhabiting Assam. CM of Manipur Shri. N. Biren Singh and other MLAs of Assam will grace the observation said Kundal. He furthered that Assam's Chief Minister Himanta Bishwa Sharma assured of the implementation of the Manipuri Autonomous Council (Satellite Statutory Autonomous Council). If the Chief Minister doesn't implement the Autonomous Council in probable time several types of agitations will be launched by the Manipuri population of Assam he said. The Manipuri population of Assam wants the immediate implementation of this Autonomous Council. They have been infuriated by the authority. He also appeals not to oppress the Manipuri people of Assam. The Press Meet was attended by AAMYA's Acting President- Rabi Laishram, Working President- Romen Luwang, Senior Most Vice-President- Anil Khomdram, Advisor In-charge- Rajesh Hodamba, Working General Secretary- Nongpoknganba, Junior Vice-president- David Khuman and Former President- Roshan Erom.
